Hi! My name is Ula Lijowska and I love native plants. My passion for conservation and green living began when I earned my degree in Environmental Design. I learned how to design buildings and landscapes in harmony with nature. When I moved back home to St. Louis after college, I started to spend more time in our yard. I began to learn that we had very few native plants; the garden was overrun with invasive species. These plants and animals overtake native landscapes, making it difficult for native species to survive, and negatively impacting all parts of our ecosystem. Over time, I have focused my energy and self-learning on both native and invasive species, and bringing awareness of how we can support our environment to others.
